I had a chat with a Young Carers worker earlier today in respect to a teenager getting assistance to take Kempo lessons. It surprised me to learn that 1 in 10 children in the Scottish Highlands are Young Carers... ie. they look after their mum/dad or another relative.
It's wonderful how the Princess Royal Trust helps these youngsters to take part in activities to give them respite from their care duties.
